This Costa Rican retreat centered on abundance! Beach, jungle, mountains, yoga, meditation, surfing, hiking, SUP, spa & wellness, self-reflection writing classes, clean eating, new friends, and individual time made for yourself! We stayed at AHKí, a wonderful retreat destination nestled amongst abundant green mountains, blue ocean waters, plentiful sunshine, and stellar surfing. This gem of a retreat was the perfect setting for everyone to unplug, unwind, and reconnect to their heart’s desires. Yoga, meditation, self-reflection, inspired teachings, time in nature, and clean eating. Joy and abundance was had!

AHKí was built according to the ancient science of Vastu Shastra, “the yoga of space.” This unique place invokes peace, wellness, and harmony. It feels remote, but is only minutes away from beaches, kayaking, horseback riding, nature hikes, and so much more.
Just 3 kilometers from Garza, a quaint fishing village where you’ll find more ticos (locals) than tourists. Another 8 kilometers north finds you in Nosara with Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada where there are wonderful restaurants, shopping, some of the finest surfing in the country!
A Typical Retreat Day:
7 am-8:30 am | Meditation & Invigorating Yoga Practice
Start your days with an energizing flow and peaceful meditation practice. Small class size offers lots of personal support.
8:30 am | Breakfast
Enjoy a fresh healthy breakfast, overlooking the mountains & sea.
9:30 am to 10:30 am | Self-reflection Writing Class
Take some time to reflect and journal on what your heart, mind and body need to manifest greater abundance of joy, health, prosperity and peace.
10:30 am to 12:30 pm | Free Time
Learn to surf, or if you already do, hit some world class swells
Kayak or SUP down the Rio Nosara through mangroves with beautiful native birds
Go horseback riding on the beach
Relax at AHKí by the spectacular infinity pool
12:30 pm | Lunch
1 pm to 5:30 pm | Free time
Swim, sun, or stroll on one of the three gorgeous beaches just a short distance away.
Zipline through the forest canopy, take an ATV adventure, or deep sea fishing expedition.
Explore one of the quaint nearby villages, or Nosara’s shops and cafes
Receive a healing spa treatment in individual jungle huts tucked in the forest.
5:30pm-6:30pm | Relaxing Yoga & Meditation Practice
Wind down with a gentle restorative practice, yoga nidra, or yin style stretching after the day’s activities.
7pm | Dinner
Relax into the peaceful quiet of the jungle, sip a glass of wine poolside under the stars, share time with new friends.
About the Teacher
Jennie Lee is the author of Breathing Love: Meditation in Action (2018) and True Yoga: Practicing with the Yoga Sutras for Happiness and Spiritual Fulfillment (2016). Her third book releases in October 2020 from Sounds True. A Yoga Therapist for the past 20 years, Jennie helps people find their joy within, overcoming stress, grief and anxiety through the transformative practices of classical yoga, meditation, and self-reflection. She is Certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT), and the Yoga Alliance (RYT 500). When she is not teaching or writing, you’ll find her surfing a wave or doing headstands on a mountain in Hawai’i, where she lives with her husband, kitties and bunnies.
