“I want to share a little bit about the awesomeness of Jennie’s Retreat and the Xinalani Retreat Center. The resort was gorgeous and the yoga studios were near the treetops with views of the ocean and nice breezes. The rooms were amazing and Jennie had a great mix of yoga styles and meditation. The food was the best ever of any retreat I have been on so far. I am excited to go again to that amazing place! Thank you for such a special week!” ~ Amy M. 2016Eight relaxing days beginning with a balanced asana practice and meditation. Mornings usually begin with a light vinyasa flow and afternoons hold a variety of restorative and yoga nidra, pranayama, devotional chanting and dharma talks. Jennie weaves yoga philosophy into all her classes for a deeper understanding of how we can live happier, love-filled lives. Luxuriate between practices on the private beach, hike to nearby waterfalls or quaint villages, surf, snorkel, kayak, receive fantastic spa treatments or dive deeper into your practice with a Yoga Therapy session. Days conclude with a delicious dinner at sunset, serenaded by the ocean’s Om.

“Gave me a lot of guidance for living my life in the future. LOVED IT!” ~ Christine M. 2016
“I loved that you mixed philosophy in with our practices. I came away with a guide for how to enhance my practice and continue working on the Sutras. I liked how you did different styles of yoga and meditation so I could try different things. I seriously feel like this was one of the best experiences of my life.”

About The Teacher
Jennie Lee is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Author of True Yoga: Practicing with the Yoga Sutras for Happiness and Spiritual Fulfillment. For the past 20 years, she has offered the transformative practices of Classical Yoga and Meditation making the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras applicable to daily challenges, helping people discover how to lead joyful, authentic lives.
“The significance of love as the driving force of yoga philosophy is a theme Lee continually returns to. She invokes it often, as in the chapter on ahimsa (peacefulness) – Love and calmness are stronger than anger; satya (truthfulness) – Whatever is anchored in love is truth and we can always trust truth when it is based in love; and aparigraha (appreciation) – As we magnify the love in our hearts through the perspective of abundance, we receive the benevolence of life and the understanding of our greatest sense of purpose. The last page of the book contains her strongest claim regarding love: There is nothing greater than love. It is the Essence of who we all are.”
Jennie bridges the universal ideals and practices of Eastern philosophy with the needs and challenges of modern Western living. In her classes you will find an unexpected mix of challenging as well as therapeutic yoga postures, energy management techniques, and meditation instruction, based on her studies in Body-Centered Psychotherapy and Spiritual Psychology, as well as Classical Yoga and Meditation. Jennie’s writing is featured regularly on Huffington Post, Mind Body Green, Yoga Therapy Today, Urban Wellness Magazine, Yogi Times, Wellness.com, Gaia, and other yoga related blogs. She is a RYT 500, Certified Process Therapist, and active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. (Note: The yoga therapy components of my teaching are based on my C-IAYT credential not derived from my status as an RYT with Yoga Alliance Registry.)
The diversity of professionals who have entrusted Jennie with their process of personal growth speaks to her ability to effectively touch a wide range of individuals. She coaches in person on the island of O’ahu, and by phone or Skype internationally.
